De Éarde is an artistic / curatorial project co-curated with Marta Ferretti and Alessio Sacchetto, realized in collaboration with Antonia Stringher. It was conceived in response to the open call from Helicotrema Recorded Audio Festival 2015. De Earde focused on the oral traditions of the Cimbri, an Upper German-speaking community settled in the heart of the Veneto region in Northern Italy and whose language is today on the brink of extinction. The project aimed at raising the audience’s awareness of this linguistic minority by creating a soundscape of hybrid words capable of stimulating imaginative projection into what was being listened.
